The message of the Bride of Christ is all about a shift in our spiritual vision. We are the Bride, i.e. symbolically the female in this God relationship. This is hard for us men to embrace, but we must if we desire God’s best. We must have the mind of Christ. The mind of Christ is a POWERFUL thing, and filled with PEACE; no fear, only FAITH.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2
The training of our brain to think according to scripture, in other words: The Supernatural. You got to know God’s Word is powerful and comes out of us like a Sword against the unseen forces of this world. Once our mind is in harmony with our Lord, our spiritual Husband, then our words and actions will be supernatural without us even thinking about it. Do not think about power or the supernatural. Think about being a proper Bride in love with her Husband. Think about being ONE with Him. A singularity.
So here’s the thing, Paul said when he was WEAK, then was he STRONG. (2nd Cor. 12:10) Does that make any earthly sense? How does that line up with scripture? “Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel,”… (1st Peter 3:7a)
Is God telling men to become like women? We all know better than that. He made us to be men. He would not have made us so, if that were the case. But in our relationship to Him, we are definitely the weaker vessel and we need to begin understanding what these things mean. What does it mean that we are His Bride? What treasures are hidden there?
So…just as Jesus was the Lamb towards man, He is also the Lion towards Satan! The Lamb is a very weak creature, but the Lion tremendously powerful! And since I am into birds, because Jesus said to consider the birds and I did that, and it led to all this, I’ve just taken the sparrowhawk for a symbol of this blogsite. There will be a lot of sparrowhawk type messages here.
I can only barely open this vision of the Bride at any one time, or the articles would be too long. But here is today’s thought for you. Men, and women too, we all need this paradigm understanding, but we got to learn to let God, our Lord, do the heavy lifting! Why are you beating your head against a wall trying to make something happen, instead of RESTING in faith in your Lord? Here’s the truth of God’s Word to us. >
“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchmen stays awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; For He gives His beloved sleep.” Psalms 127:1-2
There is much said about entering our Lord’s REST in the book of Hebrews. We will eventually get to those things. But look at what that scripture is saying. There is a REST for the people of God. It is a supernatural REST. I always capitalize that word as a way of saying this is no ordinary REST. It is peace that passes understanding.
In my marriage of 48 years, my wife has called on me on a regular bases to open a jar lid, move furniture, carry heavy stuff, and all sorts of things requiring greater strength than her. And I’m not even a big guy! I can only imagine what you big guys can do. But, as a man, I would be embarrassed if my wife were stronger than me, unless I was injured of course. And call me a male pig if you want, but women have beauty and men have strength. It’s the way the design is made and as a man, I have no desire to be a sissy.
But the point is, when we learn to REST in our Husband, it is an act of faith and peace. Not only is that much better for us than stressing over things, but it triggers supernatural ripples in the invisible realms. We don’t have to think about that, we just got to enjoy RESTING in the fact we have entered a supernatural relationship with our supernatural God whose Son has become our spiritual Husband and He just happens to be Lord of all, King of kings, and sets on the throne of the Kingdom of God.
(I do not apologize for using the word “supernatural” a lot. This warrior Bride of Christ is very supernatural because of her love for her Lord. We got to get this.)
Here’s another point, we don’t just get to go to heaven when we die, in this marriage, heaven has become ours! We belong there! Like God gave the Promised Land to Israel, our Husband gave us the Kingdom of God in His Name! It’s ours! We belong there! Assuming we don’t “fall away” in the last days, (another subject), it’s ours!
Our earthly mindset and pride has caused many of God’s promises to short-circuit because we did not REST in faith in our Lord. We’ve been using force more than faith. We’re trying to do the heavy lifting instead of calling on our Husband in a powerful prayer life, and waiting on Him. True faith creates a force, but force is not faith! It’s us trying to get our way.
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like the eagle (a bird of prey!), they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Isa. 40:31
The above scripture is totally supernatural. There is no other way to look at it. But will such a person appear to be functioning in a supernatural way to the average person? Unless someone examines their life in great detail, probably not. It’s when you see how often this person seems to “land on his feet” in all things, like a cat, that you begin to think something must be going on here that is not purely “natural”. And I’m not talking money. Many things are easy to do when you have money. These people likely don’t think that much about money. They live by faith. Faith is the currency of heaven.
There is so much more to say on this. We have barely scratched the surface.
Until the next time, thanks for stopping in. Comments are welcome.
