Shame verses Honor

I believe there is a war between the shameful and the honorable. War has broken loose in America! And it is a war not of guns and knives, although some shameless people sometimes resort to that. But it is a war between the shameless and those who still love honor. A war of ideas and conduct. Has honor become unfashionable, out of style, no longer valued in America? Will honor die a slow death in our streets? If the shameless win, it will be so.

I heard a man teaching that the Theaters have become the strongest church, and to that I say, look at the lifestyles those people live and many of their movies promote. It’s hard to find a “good” movie these days. If these people now set the accepted standard, we are in big trouble. They live a fantasy life. Their wealth protects them from the real world, until it does not.

I’ve begun reading a book entitled: “As a Lily among Thorns”, by Rudy Martinka. He tries to imagine what it was like when the Queen of Sheba visited King Solomon. It’s a fictional story. But he imagines this Queen coming to Solomon to learn of his wisdom, as she has heard of his reputation and wants to see for herself. I’m not very far into the book yet, but as I read I came to a moment where the scripture of Proverbs 25:28 is used.

“A city breached and without a wall, a man who has no self-control.” (As quoted from his book.)

The New King James version: “Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.”

As I pondered this scripture, I thought of Biden, a broken man, no walls, no self-control. A perfect picture. A puppet to whoever is in control. And I could not help but think about the battle between our two political parties concerning whether we should have strong walls, or not. A city broken down? Without walls? And one party of the two are shameless! Need I say which?

It is the party now seeking to sell the walls for five cents on the dollar! They know Trump will have to turn around and rebuy those walls for a greatly increased price! Who is that hurting? Is it hurting Trump? Not really, it’s hurting you and I! This is shameful beyond description! And these people wear their shame like badges of honor! They claim to care about us while they stab us in the back! This is Biden? This is who we elected?

What does it take to shame and embarrass these people? Kamala should be ashamed beyond compare at how horrible her campaign was. They lied to us constantly and thought we would accept it. They used the legal system against us, but pardoned their own lawless activities. They prove themselves shameless and without honor. When did this become a thing?

Look at the people they hang with and listen to. They love the people our society has set as “Stars”. Stars that don’t even live in the real world, and don’t know the meaning of the word faithfulness. Stars that really do not shine because of their blackness. It’s just another lie! A facade. Acting. It’s what they do. They’re good at it. They’re so good they even fool themselves.

By the very definitions of the words, you cannot be both a shameful person and also honorable.

Shame = a painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior. (Do these people ever show any sign of remorse over their words, teachings, actions? Main stream media? LOL!!!!)

Honor = high respect, great esteem. Also, adherence to what is right or to a conventional standard of conduct.

Most people use to believe lying was shameful and truth honorable. Is it still most people today? Most people use to think honest labor was honorable and stealing shameful. Is it most people today? Who out numbers who today? And who has the power? We’re finding out now, for the battle is on! 2025!

Have we listened to these Stars to the point we’d rather be shameful than honorable? Is honor dead in the streets? Movies use to be made of Knights who fought for honor! And there was a code of honor they fought for. There was a Standard, The Code of the Knights! But what is the standard today? What do we want it to be? Is shamefulness what we desire? Has it come to that? These people wear shame like badges of honor! And that, in itself, is shameful beyond description.

But they have little self-control. They are fueled by emotions more than common sense. Do we still want leaders of truth? Or do we just want our emotional feelings satisfied? Is integrity a thing anymore? Or just get me what I think I want. I don’t care how you do it. Sell the fence and hurt everyone! I’m hurting! I want them to hurt too! I want us all to go down on the Titanic!

Never mind that my hurting stems from a shameful agenda and shameful people. I’ll worry about honor later. Just sooth my emotions! Make me FEEL better! NOW! Emotions run amok. People on fire. Claiming they are in pain, but it is a pain of their own devising. They need to jump in a lake of common sense and put out their fire. The pain would go away. But that requires something called honor and self-control. That requires admitting to be wrong, an honorable thing to do.

We are drowning in criminal activity. Our prisons are overwhelmed. Our court system way behind and over priced. Justice is becoming unaffordable. What do we do then, when we can no longer afford the million dollar trials? Is there no answer anymore? Have we given up and decided we’re on the Titanic? Dance to the music while you can, because in a few hours we will all drown anyway? There are no lifeboats?

That’s not true. That’s not true and those of us who still have self-control know it. This last election is a grand scale effort by honorable people to finally face this sinking ship and see if we can save it. But who will win? Have we waited too long? Are too many of us infected with the ways of the shameful, and no longer willing to sacrifice for honor? In 2025, we’re gonna find out.

When you’re shameful and without honor, you might be willing to stage a great lie to get your way, no matter how many suffer or die. A pandemic? Unknown drones mysteriously in our skies? Assassinate a president, like JFK? Crash planes into towers? Release radiation poisoning into the streets and claim we’re under attack? People backed into a corner do desperate things. And if these people are also shameless, look out!

Look out 2025. Is Honor going to make a great comeback in America? Are the kings without clothes going to be exposed in their nakedness? And if so, will they be made to feel shame? Will they be shunned by society and forced to feel shame over their nakedness? Or will they be proud of it, and call everyone else to be naked too? Think of what we’re saying here. Do you realize how vulnerable you are when you’re naked? And Biden is selling our fence for cheap, just to hurt us.

“Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.”

You cannot legislate righteousness. Either a society wants it, honors it, and causes the kind of peer pressure to lift people to a higher plain; or, we slowly sink into the quicksand of emotions run amok. If there is no wisdom and honor along with our love and compassion, then we all burn up in the fire. A society has to enforce good behavior. It’s called “Good Peer Pressure”. Make honor popular again!

Unfortunately, due to human nature, society needs boundaries, good walls, wise guard rails to keep most of us on track. It’s just the fact of life. Because if the shameless ever do get complete control, there will only be chaos and pain as we sink into darkness.

My conclusion? Honor must win. We cannot afford to lose. We are at a turning point. A point of no return. This is a hill we cannot lose. A hill to die on, if need be. If the shameless only understood, they would want us to win too, because we will all suffer in ways we do not want if we do not bring self-control, wisdom, and common sense, back to the way we run our country and our daily individual lives.

I know this article has been long, but it is so important. And there is still so much more needing to be said. I truly believe this year of 2025 will be the decider. Which side will you be on? The battle has begun.

For your info, I found Biblehub Commentaries to be one of the best sources to understand the meaning of proverbs

    For Example,

As for shame, in our times, there is a vast universe of distance between ancient times of feeling shame for the choices we make in life. Mainly, in my opinion, because less and less children are taught religious values as a result of their parents never being taught since 1963 Supreme Court that made it unlawful to even mention a Bible verse in a public school classroom where the majority of USA students attend…

    1. I do apologize. Looks like I need to change a setting. Because there were a couple links in your comment, it went to spam for some reason. Thanks for alerting me. Hopefully I’ll get that changed. Thanks so much for responding and also the Bible hub link. It looks awesome.

At age 69, my favorite thing to do is sharing God’s Word. Whether doing a reading, preaching, or teaching, it keeps the fire burning in my belly.
