Days of Elijah — Episode #1 >

I was at a 6 a.m. prayer meeting at Church just yesterday. As I began praying and focusing in on what I was getting in my spirit, I heard the words: “The same man who prayed the prayer that closed the heavens for three and a half years, no rain, no water, for three and a half years; also prayed the prayer that called down fire from those closed heavens.” Closed to rain but not to fire?” And then he eventually called for the rain and the heavens opened, the rain came. But the fire and a cleansing of false gods and priest came first!

Our Pastor slowly made his way around to each individual of the handful of people there. He asked each of us what we were praying for? When he got to me, I said, “FIRE”. But not the fire in Los Angeles. I was asking for a fresh FIRE in the Church! And how will that come? What will that look like? What will that do to us?

This is the day after and I am fasting as I write these words. I write them in a holy fear of not getting this right. I was not aware of the Los Angeles fire that morning. I mean, I heard there was a fire, but those happen a lot out there. I didn’t realize there were 90 mph wind gust, and just how bad this was until I left Church and began hearing all the horrible details. It gave me a creepy feeling when I thought about what I prayed for, and about the message of Elijah. >

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” (Malachi 4:5-6)

I’ve been very worried about 2025 because I feel like God has been warning us about this year for a long time now. I have done my best to prepare for this year both physically and spiritually. You can’t pray two years worth of prayers in one day, or one hour. You can’t grow a crop of protection in one or two panicked prayers. It takes time and work to grow a thriving spirit garden.

Anyway, I still didn’t totally get it till I was preparing for bed that night. I happened to notice Jonathon Cahn had put out a new message and I thought I’d listen to some of it as I was going to bed. He then revealed the four lightning bolts that struck four significant American buildings during the time of New Year’s Eve, as 2025 was birthing! Oh, oooh. Of course that got my undivided attention. Not bed time yet. Not now.

I was already aware of the details in his first book: “The Harbinger”. And just like these lightning bolts, in the terrorist attack of 9/11, two buildings were struck by the planes in NYC, that being the twin towers. And two buildings were also targeted in Washington DC, but only one was hit, the Pentagon, as the other plane was forced down by the heroes on board, who sacrificed their lives to stop that plane. I believe its target was the White House itself.

These lightning bolts, at the very time of birthing 2025, struck the One World Trade Center and the Empire State building in NYC. They also struck the White House, and Washington Monument in DC. Cahn then goes on to explain just how unlikely the odds were for this exact thing to happen at just that exact day. The birthing of 2025.

Now maybe something leaps inside your spirit man in confirmation, or maybe not, but it does in mine and I’ve decided to step out in more faith than before, to say things I’ve been holding back on so not to be some kind of alarmist, or something. And the fear of getting it wrong.

I believe both America and the modern Church in America has sown to the wind and there is a whirlwind coming. And I mean a monster whirlwind! Like a super storm! I believe God even showed it to me several years ago in a vision of sorts, that became the motivation for my preparations.

Cahn gave some possible options for our future. Two of them is we either have a true “Revival” that turns away a coming “Judgement”; or we have “Revival” while in “Judgement”. God’s word says Elijah would come again, towards the end of times. John the Baptist was a type of that. He came to prepare the way for Christ. We’re at such a time again. The Elijah who called down both rain and fire. Revival while in Judgement? Rain and fire? But the fire came first! The rain was held back until after a cleansing took place. A real house cleaning!

Do we see our spiritual condition today? Do we even see it? Are we honest with ourself, or living a lie? Politics is downstream from culture. If we want to get to the root of our woes, we got to look at how our culture got here. This is where we as God’s people should be hanging our heads in shame and realizing we’re to blame! Can we change without the suffering? Or do we need the suffering in order to change?

Should we be praying the prayer of Elijah? He was not praying for more blessings that day he called for the heavens to shut. He was calling down a curse! But we pray for the blessings. Why? We don’t want to suffer, even if it means our country goes to hell in a handbasket and our children too. I’m sorry, but that is what is happening. Not saying it will not fix anything.

I know these words are hard, and not what any of us want to hear, but are they true? And are they wisdom? I suppose the jury is still out on this, but I know what I’ve been feeling and trying to share for some time now, and I’ve decided to say it more, even at risk of being proven wrong.

I know this much, the saving of our soul is more important than any creature comfort I may enjoy while in this body. If blessings are destroying us, and suffering will empower us, then I’m with Elijah! It may scare me spitless, but I know the goodness of my God and He only disciplines for our betterment. And we could use a whole lot of betterment right now.

A whole lot of crazy signals have been going forth in this year of 2025 already. We are only nine days in. Things are heating up rapidly, and there is no reason to believe whatever happens in 2025 will be over in one year. Elijah’s closed heavens was three and a half years!

There is a good fear that does not stress out the individual but drives them to be prepared for what is coming. God speaks to those who are listening. He does that so we will not suffer more than needed. So those who claim His name and hear His voice will be in the Ark of His will when the storm breaks loose! Like obedient and wise children should be. I’m hearing a lot of thunder. Even snow thunder! I think we’re running out of time. This is the first article of what I expect will be more to come.
