“Walk With Jesus”

“The steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand. (Psalms 37:23-24)

“There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.” (Hebrews 4:9)

How do we reduce Christianity to its simplist and most powerful terms? It’s simply going for a peaceful walk with Him.

It is not walking alone, but with HIM. And we enter a state of powerful REST when we let Him lead, which requires a surrender on our part. Our surrender simplifies everything, and also brings a very special REST/PEACE. It’s really very simple, all day long peacefully walking with HIM. Wow!

Have you noticed Jesus never ran anywhere? And He rarely used any form of transportation other than His own two feet! Simply peacefully walking from place to place. Even when He received word Lazarus was dying, a person near and dear to Him, He did not drop everything and rush over to his house! But He stayed in step with His heavenly Father.

It’s amazing how one of our biggest challenges of not being a baby anymore is learning to walk. This creation constantly reveals and confirms God’s Word. As Christians we have to learn to walk all over again. Have you ever thought about it? And when we do, the “SUPERNATURAL” of God can flow. Whaaat? Just by walking? Yes, if we’re doing it right.

That’s right. We think we got to do all kinds of things to ever see the supernatural show up in our life. Nope. Simply walk peacefully with Him. Not separate from Him, but WITH Him. My every day a peaceful walk with Him.

Notice I keep saying peaceful. We always pray for the dead, may they rest in peace. When we die to self, the great surrender, and live for Him, ceasing from our own works, our life becomes a peaceful walk with our Lord, and His supernatural is released wherever we go and whatever we do. God does it. Not us.

But take note, if we get in our own head too much, and we don’t like the way things look ahead, if we try to analyze things in our own expectations, if fear and stress begins entering, we sabotage the supernatural and find our self back to the struggles of the flesh. We are back to mere mortal ways. You got to stay in the peace of faith even when! Even when what? Even when whatever! It don’t matter! That’s key. Peace! Peace is so powerful. Childlike faith.

Peter was actually walking on water! In a storm! Keeping his eyes on Jesus. Until! Well…you probably know the story. The “physical” aspects of it all got into his head. He then found himself in over his head and struggling to swim like any ordinary human. But he had been walking on water just a minute before. Not something we humans can ordinarily do! Again, childlike faith.

Can it really be that simple? Simple to understand, yes. Simple to do, no. Because our flesh is not easily ignored. It’s not easily trained. The desires of the flesh will fight to keep us mortal. “I say then: Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16) It’s back to our daily walk again.

Paul makes it sound so easy. Just learn to walk child of God. Learn to walk peacefully with Jesus, not off on your own path where all kinds of dangers wait to devour you, where the curse thrives, but take advantage of the supernatural wisdom of God, and when the devil tries to convince you it’s not working, because he will try, that’s when we really learn to walk. That’s when our faith will grow when we see what God does. And we will see it “IF” we endure to the end in peace. Spiritual endurance.

You see, Psalms 37:23-24, is our Christian life in its simplist and most powerful form. Those scriptures are extremely supernatural. Notice when the “H” is capitalized and when it is not.

The steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord, and “H”e delights in “h”is way. That is saying God delights in our way when our steps are with Jesus, His Son, and our Husband! God is actually “enjoying” us walking with Him! He’s not going to let anything disturb that! God’s joy over our actions releases His supernatural for us.

Now look at the supernatural here > Though “h”e fall, “h”e shall NOT be untterly cast down; For the “L”ord upholds “h”im with “H”is hand.” The person falling is a small “h”. That’s us! The person upholding is a big “H”! God upholds us! That is a supernatural upholding! We’re talking God’s super ability that exceeds our natural abilities.

The supernatural released, us walking in it, and all we got to do is practice peacefully walking with “H”im. Which means we need to be tuned-in and ours eyes on Him. That’s it! It really is that simple for the surrendered person. We call Him, Lord/Master. May our words be true. May our flesh be crucified. May we rest in peace and be filled with His Spirit.

Now that is a lot to ask of an unsaved person. It’s actually impossible. And it might be a lot to ask for the average materialistic American Christian. But not impossible. Those in love with the Spirit of God, we hunger and thirst for this very thing and delight in it. It’s not always easy, but like when you’re doing work you love, you don’t really mind. You mostly enjoy it. And the spiritual rewards are awesome.

For what is coming in 2025, we need to be in God’s secret place at all times, and under His shadow, because great power flows from the place of His shadow. Powerful forces are already aligned against us. If we’re spiritually careless and foolish, we will pay a tremendous price. If we’re still running this world’s rat race, then we still have not learned to walk, and we will end up struggling to swim like Peter. But Jesus loves us anyway and is quick to help us get back to the boat, where we can try again.

In my book about the Bride I speak a lot about RESTING in our Lord. God is the strong man in the house, not us. God does the heavy lifting, not us, we’re the Bride. He said His yoke would be easy and His burden light. Is that what we are experiencing in our daily walk with Christ? It needs to be less of us and more of “H”im. Our REST is the key to His supernatural. But it is a REST in Him and in His ways, not our own. It’s in His peaceful walk and powerful Presence.

I fear for those who might give up and stop believing. God’s Word speaks of a great falling away. It appears many will simply drown and not get back in the boat. Lacking spiritual discernment they will believe the lie. They will get mad at God because of their own failures. They will think God is failing them, but it’s really just them wanting more of what this world offers. They will refuse to stay in God’s Ark. We don’t want to be those people. Let’s grow up and learn to walk on water with our eyes on Him. Waterwalkers every one.

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee.” (Isaiah 26:3)

In the name of Jesus, Peace be unto YOU.
