“Surrender is a Discipline”

Surrender is a powerful “Discipline”. > How does God teach us to fight? Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord. But how does that work? Mary told the servants, whatever Jesus says, do it.

My wondering mind has much rolling around in it, and I’m not sure what shape it is going to take. I very much believe in the “small group and home group” movement. I have shared with my Brave Heart guys that we are like a Holy Spirit Dojo. I have been pushing them to push like Samson. They will either love me or hate me. LOL. I’ve always wanted a Holy Spirit Dojo. It’s been a lifelong dream of mine.

How do you fight a multiheaded monster like a Hydra? Because that is exactly what we are already in the middle of fighting, and if the footmen have wearied thee, how will you run with the horses?! The horses are coming! We’re still in the footmen.

If you have been blind to this Hydra, then you have a lot of catching up to do in order to enter this fight; but be of good cheer! God knows how to do that. Perhaps this is our challenge in a nutshell.

Samson faced the idol god, Dagon, idol god of the sea, the deep! Hence, in our day we see a giant multiheaded Hydra that has infiltrated every facet of our government, society, and I even believe many of our Churches. If Samson fails to stay true, if he fails in his mission, do we enter a time of being blinded and chained to a millstone until that last great push? It is a possibility. We need a “Samuel” Church for Samson to pass the mantle to!

Consider this Hydra > “Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.” (Revelation 13:1)

I’m not saying this is our exact Hydra we currently face, but all of Satan’s workings take this same pattern. He is always a beast attacking the people of God’s holy Covenant, like spoken of in Daniel 11. How do we fight such a beast of the supernatural world?

I say we fight fire with fire! But not an earthly fire. No. It must be heaven’s fire in us! A holy fire running hot in our spiritual veins like a fine wine! Oh yes. We’re gonna go there!

The Samuel Church spends most of its time drunk on God’s wine, and it is a fire in the veins of His Bride! This wine has a joy that keeps you going even when times are tough. But if we are a wilderness Christian struggling for water, and we’re not in the land flowing with milk, honey, and wine, then we are defeated already. The Promised Land has a mighty fine wine! Grapes that had to be hung on a pole between two fully grown men.

“Therefore be not unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, in which is dissipation (a squandering); but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another…” (Ephesians 5:17-18a)

Yeah, we certainly wouldn’t want that “speaking” thing to get out of control, would we. That Spirit Sword coming out of our mouth. Setting on fire the course of nature? Some things need to be set on fire, the right fire, including us!

We certainly wouldn’t want to be walking in the wisdom of God, would we? We certainly wouldn’t want to know the will of God, or be “surrendered” to the will of God and on fire with holy purpose, would we? Oh no, that is the devil’s greatest fears. He knows what would happen if God’s people discovered that Jesus has a mighty fine wine! And learned to fight in heaven’s way. We could call it “Agape” style.

We’ve heard of Karate, Aikido, Taekwondo, etc, but Agape is the highest fighting form of all! And a great surrender is required. A great discipline. But the pain is offset by God’s wine! We stay drunk! And happy! The Beatitudes! Happy is he who…! Wow. How crazy is that! Crazy like a fox. Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Huh? The Crazy Fox fighting style! That should confuse the enemy! But don’t mind my silliness here, I’m a lot drunk on the wine of Christ.

Okay, I need to share just a little of where this Samuel thing takes us. This might be more of a “tease” than the full picture we need. But here are a few thoughts. Samuel inherited a Church in very bad shape! Even the Ark of the Covenant had been taken by the Philistines and sat in a Dagon temple. (What happens there is another story.) But the temple Samuel was at got destroyed! He likely barely escaped with his life! And Eli and his sons were already dead, leaving Samuel suddenly inheriting this mess! (Again, reminds me of our government right now.)

It seems Samuel put on a mantle of “Home Ministry” and small groups during this very difficult time, a time that would eventually bring David onto the scene! So it all has a very powerful purpose. It’s not without purpose. (I hope to write more of this soon.)

I believe we need Churches pushing small group ministries that will saturate our country! And, giving opportunity for more “teachers” to exercise their giftings. More Discipleship! If we fail to become the Samuel ministry, then it’s blindness and the millstone, and a soon to come Elijah. This is what I see. This is what I believe. Samuel also began a school. Probably a school of Prophets like Elijah.

I want my men to be inspired to push like Samson, and run with the horses. The Agape and Spirit fighting style is not learned without teaching, training, practice, and actual combat, just like any other fighting form. The Crazy Fox fighting style is not like any others, and Jesus is the head Sensei!

I’ve spent 70 years seeking this, and I am excited to see it being birthed! Come on men and women of God! Let God impregnate you with this vision! Here comes the Bride! And at the right time the baby will be born! Women know a lot about “pushing” out a baby, and we men need to learn! Let that Samson anointing give birth to the Samuel Church we need!

Samuel’s mother was baren. She cried out to God at the altar of that Ichabod temple and God heard her prayer. As a result, Samuel was born from a woman unable to have children except God be moved. Samuel eventually anointed David! What a glorious opportunity God has given us! Let us not fail! They who do know their God, will be strong (Samson), and do exploits. And those of understanding will teach MANY!

Now I will take a moment to self promote. I don’t like to do this, but if you read this article and feel it is a word in due season, please tell others. This site has NOT grown. It is embarrassing to admit this, but I get very few visitors and comments. Either few are interested, or I’m being censored. I do not know. If it were not for my Brave Heart guys whom I print copies of this out for, I’m not sure I would even still be doing this.

So, just say’n, if you think others need to hear these words, please make them aware. Maybe people just don’t know. But I will keep writing as long as my Brave Heart men are benefiting. Thanks everyone. I appreciate your efforts. As in all things, I trust God.

At age 69, my favorite thing to do is sharing God’s Word. Whether doing a reading, preaching, or teaching, it keeps the fire burning in my belly.
