Flexing and Fluxing Episode #2 > Paul said: “Actually, I don’t have a sense of needing anything personally. I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I’m just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.” (Phil. 4: 11-13 Message Bible)
“In the One who makes me who I am.” I love that. That, too, is a reference to a supernatural life. There are benefits the world offers us, and benefits God offers us. Which do we truly value? Which do we worship? Seek FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness? All are about to be put to the fire, put to the test. Those who can be shaken, will be!
Continuing from our first article, “contentment” is a skill or gift from God enabling us to be more “constant” in a world of constant “change”. One reason we followers of Christ can do this is because we have a Leader who does not change and we have a map that does not change, always showing us true north, no matter what! We have constants. The lost do not. They have no true map. They are lost whether they know it or not. Their map is fake!
Big change is coming. Are we ready? As illustrated in first article, the pupil of our eyes is a perfect example of our ability to change. If we go from sudden darkness to sudden light, we are in pain! A discomfort zone. Change is being forced on the pupil of our eyes. Can our eyes do it? Within certain limitations, yes, but we need a few seconds, and until then, we are in discomfort. We have lost the balance of a thing. The wise maintain a flow and balance. Had the lights gradually increased, that would have been better.
A lot of American Christians are not comfortable with Jesus recommending a minimalist lifestyle. But He did. It cannot be argued. It is easily proven. Everything from the way he lived His own life, and the Apostles also conformed to, to His complete Sermon on the Mount, consider the birds, do not store up on earth, but in heaven, to challenging the rich young Ruler to give his stuff to the poor, to riding a donkey rather than a steed. Born in a barn. How many ways did He need to show us? You CANNOT serve God and money.
Unfortunately, I believe one form of the coming storm is FORCED minimalism. If you want to stay true to God’s Word, a fork in the road is coming. As also said in previous article, the Apostle Paul adapted to jail cell life rather than compromise God’s Word. Hate speech is crouching at the door, just waiting to pounce on anyone preaching the WHOLE Word of God. Jail life is about as minimal as you can get. But Paul was no stranger to minimalism.
The prosperity Christian and Church will be forced to choose. This false doctrine will be exposed once and for all. Rich preachers living high on the hog while professing a complete love for God will be exposed, too. But many, rather than change, will walk away sad, like the rich young Ruler, and eventually sell their soul for comforts and be part of the great falling away. And now that I have totally depressed most of my readers, how shall this be?
The “Plan” is hidden in plain sight. Our country has been the greatest propagators of it. What we have sown we will reap. It will be a form of socialism and communism as I have heard China is pretty much already doing. When we put sanctions on other countries, it is a picture of what they will do to us. Also, our recent fascination with tariffs is a picture of what they will do to us individually.
Just like China, we will have a Social Score, like we currently have a Credit Score. If you play the game like a good boy and girl, you have a high credit score and benefit with better rates, and so on. Otherwise, you are punished. Our whole life will become one big Toll Road, complete with cameras and monitoring to enforce every benefit or lack of benefit you may have. All currency will be digital. All we do will be known. It will also be controlled by “them”. Whoever “them” happen to be at the time.
If you are a Blogger and you write things “they” do not like? Your Social Score will plummet! The government has become your parent! They will punish you. “Go to your room until we say you can come out! Stay in that jail cell, Paul!” Forced minimalism. These are invisible walls already slowly sliding in around us. Play their game and you will be rewarded, like a good boy and girl. But act like the Apostle Paul, or Jesus Himself, and see what they will do. Covid was a practice run. They know they need greater control. 100% digital currency.
Now if you’re already a minimalist and have learned the skill of contentment, you will be the crazy fox able to short circuit their efforts by the power of God! This contentment we speak of is actually a form of TRUST/FAITH. We know the goodness of the God we serve. We know true north and where we are sailing, and if you’re such a person, you should be already preparing in small ways that will make a big difference, not only physically, but spiritually. We sailboats baffle the motorboats and rowboats of the world. We greatly frustrate them.
All things flow from the soul, this we know, our map tells us so. If you’re trying to fake contentment, if it’s not actually in your soul, you will fail. Reread those words of Paul again, as quoted at the beginning of this article, feel the power in them! There is real power there. Supernatural power. Like Jesus turning the water into His wine. If we have not kept our spiritual pot full of the water of God’s Word and Spirit, then the wine will not happen for us. Our pupils will not adapt. We will be in fear and pain rather than trust and faith. We will be likely to sell out. The love of money, comfort, and pleasure will be the idols most bow to. A great falling away.
How much time do we have? Well, that’s hard to say, but you only need a moment. You only need right NOW. You can decide in your heart right now to consider the birds, as Jesus said, and be content with our “daily” bread. It is enough. This will be a great change for many of us. But the day is coming when you will either be forced to change, or sell your soul to the devil.
A.I. is preparing to write us a new and better bible and give us the first true religion. Did you know that? It is true. False teachers and false prophets are already speaking of this, and how it will be the most glorious thing to finally have a perfect revelation! We will finally have a new and better true north! But how can we know this? If we, as imperfect beings, how can we know if something is perfect or not? How can we even judge such a thing? We deceive ourselves into thinking we know what is best, when we really know nothing!
The Word we already have is proven by centuries of changed lives, historical documents, prophesies, such as the 666, that we can still see coming true! There is also the witness in creation and in our souls, and I am sorry if you are defective in some way that you do not feel and see the evidence all around and within us. You are the one who should be felt sorry for.
You see, unbelievers do not have a map that does not change. If they think an A.I. can give them a true north, they will jump on it. Their lives are full of constant monitoring of events and opinions, trying to discern what way the wind is blowing today, because their map is constantly changing. What is true today will not be true tomorrow, for them. Their map must be constantly adjusted.
They live in the fear and stress of keeping up with the latest. The fear of mistakes they are making and how shall they survive? What if they don’t have enough money in their retirement fund? How can I get as much money from my government as that person is getting? And on and on it goes. Why can’t I live in a mansion, like they do? What map do they have? How did they get there? It’s not fair! You’re right. Most likely it is not fair. Very little on planet earth is actually fair. It is a fool’s quest to expect that which is fair. You only make yourself more vulnerable and stressed.
Having a true map brings such peace, joy, contentment, and trust. If your life is still materialistic, a love of money and things, then your map is off. The Osteen churches are leading people to a very hard fork in the road that most will be unable to navigate. Osteen people feel sorry for me. They look at my simple ways and think it must be hard, sad, depressing, when nothing could be further from the truth! But they know not what I speak of. I got here by faith. God said it was so, and I believed Him. I can’t even explain how God does it. I’m just glad I took Him at His Word, and like my father of faith Abraham, began the journey. I see what is coming. I’m ready. It’s hard to punish a minimalist Christian. Crazy like a fox. Crazy like the Apostle Paul.
I read back over my words and realize how crazy this must sound to the average person. But the shaking has begun. The handwriting is on the wall for those who have eyes to see. There might yet be one more episode in this subject.
“Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin (leviathan) is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” (Genesis 4)
Leviathan is crouched and waiting for those who choose the path of Cain. Able simply trusted and obeyed God. He made the sacrifices God asked him to make. For that, Cain (the world), murdered him. And they say I’m the crazy one. This world is insane. Mad with lust of all kinds. Driven with hunger pains for MORE. Enough is never enough. They are the haters, not us.
