L7D Habits > I really only need to speak of one: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” (Isaiah 26:3)

Perfect peace is our compass. What brings us the most peace? I mean real peace. The kind that when you wake the next day, you still got it, and you know how to maintain it. If you do lose it for a short, you know how to get it back. And this satanic world can’t stop you! It’s that powerful.

Here’s the key > You won’t be able to live in this perfect peace if you’re not walking with the Lord. Or you are walking “distant”. Our steps must be ordered of the Lord. (Psalms 23). God turns our water to His Wine. When we have that peace that passes understanding, it is strong evidence we are walking with Him. And if we don’t, strong evidence we’ve gotten out of step and need to make a course correction. Get back in the map, Sailor, and also read the sky.

If we understand being a spiritual sailor sailing the 7 Seas of this life, we know it is His peace that guides us like the most supernatural map you could ever desire. Trust it. Step out in obedience and faith to walk on the water. Be at peace. Jesus ordered Peter’s steps that famous day. He invited Peter out onto the water. And Peter showed us what supernaturally worked, and what failed. Eyes on the world and you’re going under! It’s so plainly shown that even the youngest child can’t miss getting it. But are we willing to devote ourself to that Sailboat life with Christ?

Here’s where I see most Christians fail. They have left their first love, if they ever even had it to begin with. Many of us got saved out of “fear”. The fear of our soul eternally lost in the righteous judgement of hell. And praise the Lord if that is what motivated you! God’s Word says that fear is the “beginning” of WISDOM! We can get saved that way, and many of us have, but have we moved from fear to LOVE? Because, if you really got saved, and you are faithful to grow in your salvation, you will reach a point where you see His beauty and cannot help but fall in love. Then we understand why we are called the BRIDE of the LAMB. All our actions are meaningless if we do not discover and learn to function in God’s love.

Once we fall in love with Him, game over Satan! Now we have entered the real Way and the real POWER. We are intoxicated with His Wine and His love. I don’t mean to get all Hallmark mushy on everyone, but it is true. I’m drunk on His Wine and Love most of the time. In this insane world, it’s best to stay drunk, as long as it is His Wine of the Holy Spirit. A merry heart does good like a medicine! I find it hard to take much of this world very seriously. I’ve been set free. Call me crazy if you like, but I’m happy here, just like God’s Word says I will be.

If they line me up to be a martyr someday, I want to be as drunk as I can be. I’ll be drink’n as much of His Wine as I can! I’ll be sing’n in the jailhouse because I’m so love drunk on my Lord, I just can’t help myself. I freely admit, I stay drunk enough that I am foolish for Christ. The world gets drunk and act like the biggest fools, but their foolishness can hurt people! I’m a different kind of drunk, but I am drunk, and I try to stay that way.

I teach a lot about being the Bride, and choosing the life of being the Captain of a Sailboat. I originally saw this perspective when Jesus was speaking to Nicodemus and He said every born again person would live a life akin to the wind. In love with the wind. I think of the eagle soaring, or a sailboat sailing. But I love comparing the way the Message Bible reads to the King James. And sometimes I love the way the Message says something.

Here is an example, I was reading the Words of Christ to the seven Churches in Revelation. I was comparing the Words in the Message. At the end of each message to the churches, Jesus gives a promise to those who are OVERCOMERS, those who are faithful through the test. I could not but leap with joy when I saw how the Message Bible worded that message to each of the seven! I will use the Church of Ephesus for our example, since we are speaking of “First Love”. I’ll give you the ending part first, and then more of the whole. > Revelation 2:7 > (My caps.) >

“Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the WIND WORDS, the SPIRIT BLOWING THROUGH the CHURCHES. (Sailboats?) I’m about to call each conqueror to dinner. (Psalms 23?) I’m spreading a banquet of Tree-of-Life fruit, a supper plucked from God’s orchard.”

Here is some of what leads up to those WIND WORDS. >

“I see what you’ve done, your hard, hard work, your refusal to quit. I know you can’t stomach evil, that you weed out apostolic pretenders. I know your persistence, your courage in my cause, that you never wear out. But you walked away from your first love — why? What’s going on with you, anyway? Do you have any idea how far you have fallen? A Lucifer fall! Turn back! Recover your dear early love. No time to waste, for I’m well on my way to removing your light from the golden circle. You do have this to your credit: You hate the Nicolaitan business. I hate it, too.” Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the WIND WORDS, the Spirit blowing through the churches. …”

What a word for our time. It would do you well to study what the Nicolaitan business was. I see a lot of it in Churches today. But we are waking up, I pray.

So… has the Israel and Iran situation been resolved? Or is the vortex still spinning? Can Israel start rebuilding their Temple? And what about that Muslim Temple, the Dome of the Rock, that seems to be in the way? How shall these things be?

Sail on brothers and siters in the Lord, and we shall see. God’s peace be unto you. Not the peace this world gives, but the peace that cannot be taken from you. The peace Mary knew, and Martha did not. But maybe she learned? And so can we.

At age 69, my favorite thing to do is sharing God’s Word. Whether doing a reading, preaching, or teaching, it keeps the fire burning in my belly.
