“Godwalkers”

“Godwalkers” > “And Enoch walked (in habitual fellowship) with God; and he was not, for God took him (home with Him.)” Genesis 5:24 Amplified)

Enoch was great grandpa to Noah, and God’s word has this to say about Noah: “This is the history of the generation of Noah. Noah was a just and righteous man, blameless in his (evil) generation;…> Noah walked (in habitual fellowship) with God.” (Genesis 6:9)

If our steps are ordered of the Lord and we are walking habitually in fellowship with Him, then we are living in the supernatural of God, L7D, living in the 7th day. The secret place is wherever God would have us be at any given moment. Psalms 91 speaks of they that dwell in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. The children of Israel in the heat of the desert wilderness had to stay in the shadow of the cloud, or it got very uncomfortable. God moved that cloud on a regular basis.

What was God doing? Training! Teaching! Unfortunately, that first generation proved to be unteachable, so they died in the wilderness. They spent 40 years dying in the wilderness when they could have been living in the supernatural of God’s Land of Promises. I see the same today. So many stressing in the wilderness rather than “learning” and graduating to the Promised Land.

When we reduce Christianity to its simplest form, it is simply walking with Jesus. It is walking in the Spirit, not the flesh Like I said, walking with Jesus. But that requires one thing. Enoch did it. Noah did it. All the heroes of faith did it. They developed the ability to HEAR. The ability to hear HIS voice. Those who hear His voice have a super power.

Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” (John 10:27-28) (No one has the power to snatch us from our walk with Christ!)

Earlier in the chapter He said, “And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him for they do not know the voice of strangers.”

A Godwalker will not be deceived. (Another super power.) Apostle Paul warns of that in the last days when he warns Timothy there will be a great “falling away”. How does this happen? Evidently there are a lot of people who do not know the Lord’s voice. So when a stranger calls to them, like the antichrist, they will follow him! Yikes! Not good. But God’s word says the Lord’s sheep will run from a stranger’s voice!

When the disciples asked the Lord for signs of the last days, Jesus warned, Be not deceived! Those who practice habitually walking with the Lord will not be deceived by a stranger’s voice. There is only one way you can follow the Lord, and that is by learning His voice! I call such people, Godwalkers. They walk with God. It is a supernatural walk. Jesus walks a supernatural path ablaze with heaven’s fire. Not man made. My picture above almost looks like my foot is on fire. How precious are the feet of those who carry the Gospel message! Heaven’s fire!

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He leads me beside the STILL (peaceful) waters. He restores my soul. Do you hear the supernatural benefits of walking with Christ. Psalms 23 is one of the best chapters of a life lived in the 7th Day. A Sabbath life. Even walking through the shadow of death does not shake us. And as I follow Christ, surely goodness and mercy will follow me, all the days of my life.

We might speak more of this in the next article. Don’t know for sure. We will see where God leads us. But aspire to be a Godwalker. Kung Fu your Bible. Seek excellence. Seek mastery.

At age 69, my favorite thing to do is sharing God’s Word. Whether doing a reading, preaching, or teaching, it keeps the fire burning in my belly.
