I took early retirement so I could go full time for the Lord in my last days. Only my Lord knows how many last days I have, but like Caleb declaring: I want that mountain! That same feeling has been in me. I chose less money for the chance to have more meaning. I have not regretted that choice. Answering the Lord’s call is the richest life of all.
I’ve always been a writer and teacher, with perhaps a touch of the prophetic. However, I had never fulfilled my dream of properly publishing a book. For me it was like never having a child, even though my wife and I have five, and eleven grandchildren, but I needed to birth a book! As time flew by and the years added up, it became number one on my bucket list. It was the mountain I still needed to claim. Not only claim, but make it where I live. I will spend the rest of my life writing, teaching, and sharing God’s word as full time as I can. And I love it. It is in me to do, like a fire that never goes out.
Laban chased Jacob and his family down, fully persuaded they had stolen his family idols. He was right, but he left empty handed, without his desired treasure, because he did not search under the pillow his daughter sat upon. There are treasures hidden under the woman. If for whatever reason we are persuaded not to look there, we too, will miss out on greatly desired treasures God has hidden for the humble and diligent. We are the Bride of the Lamb! We simply must look there.
I’m 69 years old. In excellent health. Living simple at an old farmhouse with a 3 year old beagle, named Sky. Never took a flu shot or Covid vaccine, and I’m perfectly fine with that. I live in Whitestown Indiana and attend “Fuel Church” in Westfield. Been married 48 years to a wonderful woman I greatly love. I believe because God is good, our life can be good, no matter what.
NOTE: I apologize for the advertising at bottom of this page. I can’t seem to get rid of it, and I don’t even know who this Ava is. LOL
