An Army Rising! > God asked the Prophet Ezekiel, “Can these bones live?” I find myself asking myself this very same question. I ask it pertaining to myself. Am I alive to my very bones? I ask it pertaining to our modern day Church. I ask it pertaining to our country. And I ask it pertaining to you. If you claim to be a Christian, are your bones alive? Are we alive to our very bones with the fire of God and love of Christ? Are we a warrior?

You see, the thing I notice here, when God told the Prophet to prophesy to the bones to live, to come alive, God’s answer was an Army! Today, I see a lot of people who want to be a citizen of heaven, but they shy away from being a part of God’s Army. They expect others to make the sacrifices and do the fighting for them. They want the benefits without paying the price. Unfortunately, they will be disappointed.

Ezekiel 37:10 > “So I prophesied, just as He commanded me. The breath entered them and they came alive! They stood up on their feet, a huge army.” (Message Bible)

The true prophets are prophesying even now. It says “the breath” entered them and they came alive! That breath is the Spirit of God! A baptism of fire! Ezekiel spoke to the four winds and the Spirit of God came! It’s about to get rowdy, folks, because there is an Army rising. We see a generation rising who are not satisfied with the pablum the small “c” church has been preaching! These people love the meat and fire of the Word.

And they stood up! We must not bow before the darkness of this world. We must stand up! Take a stand! We must be visible, not hiding. And we can do this because we have the backing of the Kingdom of God. God is with us. The fourth man shows up in the fire! And when He does, a king takes notice! And the whole country takes notice!

Now there are also the Prophets. They are a strange breed. They love the honey and wild locust of the desert places. They are declaring, make straight the path of the Lord! They are calling us to marry our Sword and become the Sword Brides of the earth, a great Army! Samson! Keep pushing against those pillars! They are cracking! There is a rumbling! Fear is in the eyes of the Philistines! Fear and confusion as truth goes forth that there is a God in heaven who interferes in the affairs of man!

Samuel followed Samson, and God upheld every word Samuel spoke! Will a big “C” Church rise out of this Army? The pendulum is swinging in the right direction. Darkness greatly desires to stop that swing. Will God pour out His Spirit anyway, even if His Church fails to rise to the occasion? I see a Samuel Church rising! Samson is shaking all that can be shaken, when the dust clears, let there be a Samuel, I pray!

That answer lies in the heart of each of us who claim to follow Christ. Are we willing to leave our comfort zone and enter the battlefield? Will we live upon a battlefield? True warriors are drawn to the battlefields because they have a fire in their bones that must be released, and can only be released there. If we are to see a golden age, let it be the gold of heaven and not this earth. Earthly gold will be used rightly when placed in the hands of people not worshipping the gold, but worshipping the one true God! Until then, gold will always be a great temptation many fail. We cannot serve God and money.

God’s Army is a volunteer Army. God will not force you to live in His fire. Our actions reveal what is in our heart. Is God’s Church, His people, on fire yet? Not as a whole. God always has his Remnant and His Prophets, the Elijah and John the Baptist type. God’s elite forces can accomplish a lot. A great fire always starts with the kindling. I would truly love to see what it is like when God’s people as a whole catch the vision of being the spiritual warriors, and not just citizens expecting others to carry them.

Unbelievers fail to realize the importance of the Church. Most social and economic problems are actually a spiritual problem. The root causes are spiritual. The unbelievers do not believe that. They think everything is psychology and science. The Church fails to get the credit and recognition it deserves when things are going well. But those of us who understand the root causes in the soul of man, we don’t care about getting credit, we just know how important it is.

You cannot jail enough people bent on evil. You cannot force right-living on people with laws. The courts would be overwhelmed. Martial law would be required and who wants to live in that? We know the Church serves a greater purpose in our society than the lost wants to admit to. But each of us who know, need to be a part of maintaining that righteous balance. There is much at stake not only eternally, but also in these earthly lives we live. America could lose her freedoms if we fail to stand. I speak of heaven a lot, but if you’re more earthly minded, you should be listening too. Rampant sin equals chaos and destruction. Let there be Light!

Let us lay up treasures in heaven. Our eyes should be set on things above more than this earth. Souls are the great treasures of this earth and worth fighting for, if only we get the vision like a fire in our bones! Ezekiel had the vision of the dry bones coming to life. That vision can pertain to us just as much as it did Ezekiel, if we so choose. Let all God’s people choose whom they will serve. Will we be the self-seeking and cowardly citizen? Or do we choose fire in our bones! The choice is ours. God is no respecter of persons. He is the equal opportunity God. Elijah called fire out of heaven! The prophets of Baal were slain. (We speak spiritually here. We wield a spiritual sword, not physical.)
