“the RESTFUL warrior” > L7D > What is the true follower of Christ to do differently in the face of a Rising Lion? Well…if your spiritual habits are right…then NOTHING! If your steps are ordered of the Lord…then NOTHING! Remain in the powerful place of your sabbath REST in God! That is the high ground. Daniel’s life proves to us the power and peace of L7D. If we remain in this very spiritual strategic position, under God’s Shadow, then we will also see what happened AFTER Daniel was pulled from the lions. We’re already seeing some of it even now!
“When the king heard these words, he was happy. He ordered Daniel taken up out of the den. When he was hauled up, there wasn’t a scratch on him. He had trusted his God.”
“Then the king commanded that the conspirators who had informed on Daniel be thrown into the lion’s den, along with their wives and children. Before they hit the floor, the lions had them in their jaws, tearing them to pieces.” (Daniel 6: 23-24 Message Bible) Rising Lions.
What had Daniel done wrong to deserve such punishment from the government he served? NOTHING! But here is what had happened. >
Those desiring power had said, “We’re never going to find anything against this Daniel unless we can scheme up something religious.” (Daniel 6: 5 Message Bible)
Have we seen anything like that in our present time? It cannot be missed! The Book of Daniel has much to say about the “END TIMES”. Not just in the way of prophesy, but also spiritual daily living, daily habits. Daniel is a perfect example of L7D.
Hopefully you’ve read past articles and understand what I’m saying. L7D is living in the 7th day of God, a ceasing from our OWN works to live in God’s, just like Jesus did. We enter God’s sabbath REST daily, seven days a week, not just on Sunday. This powerful spiritual principal completely supersedes any physical day or physical rest one might think of concerning Sunday. I hesitate to even compare them, but it’s a place to start.
Biblically speaking, the 7th Day speaks of a sacred way of living. A set-apart sabbath of REST provided supernaturally by God. The Jews in the wilderness did not even have to gather the manna on the sabbath. God supplied extra on the 6th day and even kept it from spoiling! When we put God first in all of our ways we enter this “Land of Promises” living. We become so much of God’s Word in the flesh, it is who we are. It becomes more difficult for us to not exercise peace and faith, than to exercise it. We are miserable if not living Sailboat ways. The noise of the Motorboat irritates us. Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind in Christ. We have been truly changed by God’s Word, Spirit, and Ways.
Israel has named this war on Iran, “RISING LION’. How appropriate. Daniel knew a little something about that. It sure caught my notice the first time I heard it. I’ve been pondering it ever since. I sat up late last night, in the quiet, staring out a big picture window into the darkness, after a very bad storm of 80 mph winds and tornadoes. Limbs down everywhere. I could not seem to go to bed until I had some idea of what I would write here today. God was knocking at my door with a Word and I was trying to answer it.
I believe God wants his people to understand His Sailboat/Daniel principal in the coming storms. Donald Trump has said it, and I think he is right. He made 2 points > 1.) He is on a mission from God. 2.) We can’t stop what is coming!
Think about that. Before we look more at L7D, Daniel, Rising Lion, Sailboat, etc.; here’s a point. > If it is true that we cannot stop what is coming, and I believe it is, it’s ordained of God, then why would we strain and stress ourself worrying and trying to fight it? You’re only exhausting yourself! Wasting precious spiritual energy.
In physical terms, one of the principals of Aikido is to use the enemy’s own energy against him. For example, if he is striking downward on you with a knife. Don’t block that energy. Use it! Grab the wrist and keep going right on that same direction, step out of the way (of course), continue the circle, perhaps apply some wrist joint pain leverage, and flip him through the air! His energy is already going that way. Why waste that energy! Less strain on you, and more power in your favor. God is still on the Throne of all thrones. Daniel RESTED in that FACT.
We remain in L7D. We remain in Psalms 23 / 91 / 1 / etc. Remain at peace. The Lord is my Shepherd. Exercise faith. PRAY! Maintain those L7D habits you’re already living. (Right?). Don’t leave the Sailboat Ways and become a Motorboat! (Or Rowboat.) Don’t abandon in fear and doubt your Sailboat ways! As a matter of fact, live them even more! Learn to be the best Captain of a Sailboat you’ve ever been! Advance! Level up! And no one says that clipper ship of yours don’t have cannons! Speak God’s Word! LIGHT BE!
I’m not saying Daniel had no fear at all when he was thrown in, by his government, with those hungry lions. I know he was human just like us. But Daniel was such a man of God. If any man might have no fear, Daniel would be on that list!
Daniel simply trusted God. No matter what. And prayed. Manned his cannons! An angel stayed the mouth of those lions. Daniel declared to the king he had been proven innocent. So the king decided to TEST those who had recommended throwing Daniel in. The manipulators. The liars. The not innocent. The real deplorables. And guess what? Their Motorboat ways ran out of gas! They lost ALL power! (And their lives.) Their own devices came back on them! God was proven true and they were proven foolish and liars.
Man-made power will never compare to God-made. This the Sailboat Captain peacefully knows. The Wind in our sails is symbolic of God’s eternal creation, and the Holy Spirit, that will never pass away. Those who understand the wisdom of the quiet and peaceful Sailboat over the ripping and roaring ways of the Motorboat, will see their persecutors run out of gas, while we sail on. They seem to run strong until a sputtering sound is heard. Oh ohhhh. Panic on the faces.
“Trust in the Lord with all of your heart. Lean not to your own understanding, and HE WILL direct your path!” (Prov. 3:5)
It’s also in Daniel where it is said, They who do know their God, will be strong, and do exploits. And those of understanding will teach many. Praise the Lord! Sail on, brothers and sisters! As Phil Robertson said, Full strength ahead!
I have so much more to say on this. Thus begins another series.
